Tasked with expanding communal amenities at Dawson Heights, this design inserts mass timber towers into the historic framework to support distinct social programs. These transparent additions break the building’s mass to offer shared facilities, such as communal kitchens inspired by Dolores Hayden, while respecting the original circulation logic. The result is a hybrid structure that enhances the existing community through dedicated spaces for collective living.
